What is SD Apps Challenge:
(from website) Mayor Sanders and the City of San Diego are challenging the software developer community to create new apps using city and partner data. Winners will receive $50,000 in cash prizes as well as promotional exposure. Prizes will be awarded for apps that enhance city services and quality of life for San Diegans, and that use the data in innovative ways.

What is Apps Challenge Hack Day:
We want to bring both developers and idea people together to come up with innovative apps to enter into the SD Apps Challenge. The schedule is very loose with little fluff to maximize time to hash out ideas, create teams, and then begin work.
10:00-10:30 - Show up, sign in, and mingle
10:30-11:00 - Introductions and SD Apps Challenge explanation from Eric Engelman, Office of the Mayor
11:00-11:30 - Idea Quick Pitch
11:30-12:00 - Collaborate and form teams
12:00-? - Teams are welcome/encouraged to continue to work at Ansir
What To Do Before You Come:
1) Go through SD Apps Challenge website and data sets
2) Come up with some ideas using specific data sets
3) Bring your laptop/computer
4) Bring an open mind and willingness to work with others
